The name ‘Laché Chivé’ rooted in Martinique Creole expression “Ladjé Chivé”, means “drop your hair”, free yourself from any kind of rules. Create without limit with basic tools, despite both conformist hiphop industry and society, which tend to overshadow “small” countries’ cultures.

The sound created by EDS., beatmaker and MC from Martinique (F.W.I.), digs into various Caribbean and Latin America discs and rhythms to find the ingredients for this Creole Hiphop collage.

Laché Chivé is like a creole hiphop creation workshop, working on the good mixture between Creole rhyming culture, and Caribbean-influenced beatmaking.

Laché Chivé has been the label behind all recording from Martinique "Creole Hiphop" group, Sked Skwad since 2009. It evolved into the specific sound developed by its MC/beatmaker EDS, favoring ruff samples from Caribbean discs and MCing performances.
